This comprehensive, all-encompassing "map" delves into the subject of human development. It tracks how the subjective & objective can both be understood as parts of larger & smaller wholes. Always pointing to a place where humans find themselves along the spiral that is the web of life. Wilber illuminates how people move through tiers of consciousness towards embracing a higher purpose to the greater good. I've also read Boomeritis, and Integral Buddhism. He speaks of a Fourth Turning of the Wheel of Buddhism in reference to the West's commitment to Pluralism & Science. From my personal experience as a hobby artist & environmental activist I see great potential in applying his theory more broadly academically. Super thinkers & doers already are making waves like star DJs, CEOs, Underground Bosses & Artists of all types. I recommend this book to anyone looking to broaden their horizons philosophically. I give it a 5 out of 5.
