Sicko by Michael Moore, a documentary film review.
This documentary-style film features an in depth critique of the US healthcare system, and
how it often fails the country's most vulnerable citizens. One must give credit to the film-maker
for braving such a controversial issue, in a country where the elite have so much sway over the policy
makers. Nonetheless, he raises eyebrows with this thoughtful questioning of why such a wealthy country
like the US doesn't care for those without the means to pay for care and medicine. This issue is ever
more pertinent as the US is finding itself strapped for cash, and with a gargantuan resource consumer,
the US army, one has to wonder. Overall, I thought this film was relevant and addresses a real issue that
this art-piece is trying to raise awareness about. I give it a 5 out of 5.
