a little kartharsis to do the mind, body and soul some good.

its any wonder why people are so confused half the time about happiness, its like we are running around like chickens with our heads cut off. trying in vane, to find some satiation of soul-hunger or bliss... "to smear ourselves across something beautiful" to use a gandharvas lyric. ive come to the understanding, that simple amusement and a gritty determination for perseverance towards enduring this struggle called life, yields a highly satisfactory outlook on all things earthly. (thieves in the night, stealing a country family's light. what is right, what is light? why at night?) so much so that it takes a constant renewal or revisiting of one's own understanding of themselves to make this happen. its like we are constantly shown a picture of what we might like ourselves to be, and then we must yield to the fact that our environment and situation is always changing, one day we might be beautiful, rich and powerful, another we may find ourselves as beggar at the banquet, with nothing but poems and soliloquays. bar none, there is a loveliness to life, a kind of fragrance to being alive, that makes its enticers aroused and filled with desires about pursuit and enchantment. its best to catch just a whiff at a time, and not take to deep a breath of it, or else it may intoxicate, and cause demented thoughts. just as indulgence is like in the senses - one can find delight in visionary, auditory, or tasteful experiences, by seeing things of beauty, goodness and truth...such as the natural. one might say - to all my relations - i wish you the courage to meet the challenges you face, and the bravery to change the world for the better, as you see fit. there is great merit in practicing how to think - and weeding out the bad thoughts, the thoughts that are counterintuitive to a pleasant state of mind. also suffering i think, anguish and turmoil, ought to be viewed as a mental health normative to all people, as it is such that any time of day or night - people experience pain and discomfort, more specifically the side of life that we choose to ignore sometimes, because it is uncomfortable, or inconvenient. very much a constant. my favourite thing to do is really find a groove in my day, where i can feel i am at most myself, and that im authentically being, as opposed to denying my own thoughts their own existence, and subjugating them to oblivion. it takes considerable practice to centre oneself in their own being, as to allow for your own true self a chance at being. ive witnessed countless times when i say something to someone and its come as such a shock to them that they ask me to repeat myself, when it is perfectly clear what i said, with adequate volume and articulation as to make the inquiry or sentence well perceived. this points to a kind of essentialism where people are taken aback by the idea of such clarity that it shocks the mind. the letters and words become a kind of piercing of illusions, a catalyst to think differently. also, i find myself constantly taken aback by how people use language as a kind of hook, to try and snare their "opponent". as for the conflagaration that is international politics and economics, id like to say this - the higher the position the more privy one is to sensitive information, and the eventual calamity we are faced with if left to our own devices as a species. theres a serendipity to how technology can be used in combination with human creativity that is by and far a leap of ingenuity and progress. wealth can be used to achieve great things, as it can be used to enlightened self-interest, that is not say that over-the-top greed need not be kept in check by responsible policy making and a kind of integrated understanding of how business, human society and nature coalesce into a living system that is our modern ecology. sad to say that much of the last couple hundred years has dispossessed many people of even basic necessities, and harmed the environment to sometimes severe levels. why infinity is such a protagonist in the arena of public thought for climate policy and environmental decision making. it gives us adequate time and measure to get things done - and also, it allows for the possibilities or unknown unknowns to exist, where in the event of a radical paradigm shift which has occurred countless times in the last couple hundred years. we are not constrained to a doomsday scenario, where life "ends" or the planet "ends". taken with a grain of salt, this approach is substantial because i feel movers and shakers in the art world, the business world, and the political world if motivated well enough could evoke a kind of turbulent thought to cause a seismic shift in the global order, as to provoke meaningful and adaptive change towards a brighter future.
