Moana 2; a film review.

This film features the continuation of the story of Moana, a young woman from an island somewhere in the Pacific. She receives a message from her ancestors that she is to go on a journey to save her people and stop the giant storm, Nalo. Her best friend forever, Maui (voiced by Dwayne the Rock Johnson), is a demigod and has mystical powers that he can shape-shift into different creatures. Together, with a crew from the island, they venture forth with a member of the Coconut tribe, to defeat Nalo. The animation is bright, colorful and vibrant with lots of aqua & sky tones and hints of cosmology are made. The purple storm Nalo, was gloomy with dark purples, and greys and bright white lightning. Overall I give this movie a 4 out of 5. It tugged at my heartstrings, as it is a visible minority portrayed, and shows an atypical fairy tale, for Hollywood. Which is refreshing!!
