Chris' work is both avant-garde and challenging. It takes conventions of art history and combines them with a refreshingly bold contemporary look. Using imagery of globalization combined with the epicurean delights of the wealthy there is this social conscience that is aroused in a non-confrontational way. It is an intellectual look at the state of the world.

His fine painterly work is both highly skilled and carefully crafted.

In "Giant Squid and Other Irritations" my favourite piece of his, he uses the gigantic squid as almost a visual metaphor both as a creature of the environment and the monster that is the global economy.
